The Next Step

I wanted to make my shampoo as natural as possible whilst offering the 'best of the best' in hair care. I came up wih a formula based on Coconut Oil for it's cleansing and moisturising properties. I added Shea Butter as it has the effect of deeply nourishing the scalp nd moisturising hair, Sunflower Oil as the carrier for all the botanicals, Olive OIl to add vitamin A & E to strengthen and help prevent damage, Sweet Almond Oil again for nourishment, and Castor Oil to help moisturise and nourish while helping the bars to lather well.

While I was testing I found that my own hair was thicker, stronger, in better and better condition and most surprising - stayed full of body and looked and felt clean for days on end. I also stopped needing a hair dryer as it seemed to dry quickly with natural full body and curl.

At every stage I was checking and double checking that the formula would work for both dogs and humans.

All of the research meant that I came up with a base formula pretty quickly - then I needed to look at botanicals and what they cculd offer to adjust the formula for different hair types and take into account what people seemed to want from a shampoo.
